Ancient Greece     

• Athenian plays were about either tragedy or comedy 
• Oedipus Rex was the favorite play 
• killed his father
• married his mother 
• had a daughter with his mother
• gouged his eyes out with daggers 
• became king
• theater back then is set up like theater now 
• pots were made to be filled with things they could sell like olive oil 
• Greeks were very competitive with everything they do
• Greeks don't think like we think now 
• Sparta only cared about being best at fighting
• Athens cares about being the best at everything they do
